Anti-tipping stairway climber
Antano, the world leader in stairway climbers, has created the only automated anti-tipping stairway climber with an exclusive Gecko patent.
Gecko allows people with motor disabilities to go up and down any type of stairs in complete safety.
The automated system allows any operator to drive it effortlessly. The patented anti-tipping technology guarantees zero errors, accidents or unexpected events when going up or down stairs.
Gecko is universal and can be used immediately.
The only wheels-operated stairway climber with anti-tipping system
From today you can go up and down any type of stairs in complete safety

Adjustable handlebar
The handlebar is height adjustable to adapt to the operator during manoeuvres up and down stairs.

Height and depthadjustable headrest
The headrest adapts to the various positions to give the user greater comfort when using this aid.

Wheelchair locking and coupling support
The wheelchair is firmly attached thanks to the fastening blocks.

Control panel
Ignition key, Emergency button, Speed controller, Battery indicator, Operating time counter, Key-selector for use: automatic, semiautomatic and manual, Inclination selector for wheelchair coupling.

Rear support handles
The rear support makes it easier to handle the stairway climber on flat ground. The red button starts the front anti-tipping system and allows automatic inclination of the stairway climber when approaching the first step down the stairs.

Step edge recognition unit
The system makes it possible to recognise the edge of the first step when going down.

Front anti-tipping device (patented)
The patented technology provides machine stability on the stairs by always sitting on two steps. This
stairway climber is the only one that does not pose issues of falling off balance during the intermediate stage of going up and down between steps.
Plus the device makes it possible to travel along steps measuring 10 to 24 cm without any type of regulation.

Led correct position indicator
The leds positioned on the top of the handlebar make it possible to view the correct position of the machine on the edge of the step when going down (lh grip) and on the rear riser when going up (rh grip). The system, being very intuitive, has LEDs with red or green lights.

Position probes
The front and rear position probes allow the machine to automatically recognise the correct position of the stairway climber on the steps and provide indication of the control leds on the handlebar.
